Rabbi Marcey Wagner

I am a Jewish professional who began my career later in life, but my passion for all things Jewish began as a child.  I was always attracted to Jewish ritual and traditions, and when it became possible for women to pursue roles in the clergy I was excited to enter the field and follow my dream.

I received my investiture and Masters Degrees from the Jewish Theological Seminary as a cantor and educator, and my ordination as rabbi from the Mesivta Adat Wolkowisk.  But it is my years on the pulpit and in working as a principal that has given me the most experience with families of all denominations of Judaism- Reform, Reconsrtuctionist, Conservative, unaffiliated, Interfaith.  I take pride in my work as a ground breaking curriculum writer and guest lecturer.

I get great joy in working with individuals, couples, and families in times of great sadness and in times of great joy to find meaning in the wisdom of the Jewish tradition.

I currently serve as the spiritual leader of Chavurat Emet in Smithtown, NY.
